How to make Nitro Cold Brew Coffee at home with the NitroPress and Nitrogen gas chargers
Love the nitro cold brew taste, but don’t want to go out for it every time? Making nitro cold brew coffee at home with the NitroPress is a great way to get that same delicious caffeine boost and save you a trip to the neighbourhood café or coffee shop. Read on for an overview of how easy it is to make your own NitroPress-infused cup of smooth, creamy, cold brew.
Gather Your Equipment and Ingredients
To get started, you’ll need some fresh ground coffee beans, filtered water, ice cubes, a mason jar or other container (depending on how much coffee you plan to make at once), a whisk or spoon and of course your very own NitroPress cold brew machine.
Brew Your Cold Brew Coffee
You can use any kind of coffee grounds for this recipe but remember that different types of coffee beans will produce different tasting cups of coffee. Start by adding 3 tablespoons of coffee grounds into your jar or container and pour in 10 ounces (about 1/2 cup) of filtered cold water at room temperature. Give everything a good mix until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Now pop the lid onto your jar or container and place it in the refrigerator for 12 hours so that it can slowly steep overnight.

Use Your NitroPress Machine
The next day remove the jar from the refrigerator and strain out all the used grounds using either a cheesecloth, fine mesh strainer or french press. After discarding all used grounds you should be left with around 11 ounces (1 ⅓ cup) of freshly brewed super-smooth cold brew concentrate. To start pouring nitrogen-pressed drinks open your NitroPress per the instructions, add some ice cubes into the NitroPress to cool the coffee if desired, then screw on the lid and close it tightly. Insert a single nitrogen cartridge into the cartridge holder and pressurise the NitroPress. Shake for 20-30 seconds and then turn upside and pull the trigger to serve your perfect nitro cold brew. We recommend holding the NitroPress at a 45 degree angle whilst pouring into a clear glass to achieve the perfect creamy head
Enjoy!
That's it – now you have yourself a perfectly poured nitro cup of Nitro Coffee! Experiment with sweetness levels by adding some simple syrup or honey according to taste preference and for an extra creamy mouthfeel before serving over more ice if desired.. Enjoy!
