Plain Cold Brew (Using the Filter Basket)

This is true cold brew simplicity — bold, smooth coffee brewed right inside the NitroPress using the integrated filter basket. With a single overnight steep, you get 500ml of rich cold brew, ready to be infused with nitro for a silky, cascading pour.

Equipment

NitroPress brew kit including filter basket

Ingredients

80g (2.8oz) coarsely ground coffee

600ml (21fl/oz) filtered cold water

Note: 100ml of water will be absorbed by the grounds, leaving ~500ml (16fl/oz) cold brew after steeping.

Instructions

Add coffee to filter basket: Insert the filter basket into the NitroPress and fill it with 80g of coarse ground coffee.

Fill with water: Pour 600ml cold, filtered water into the NitroPress until the basket is fully submerged.

Steep: Screw on the NitroPress storage cap and let steep upright in the fridge for 6–16 hours.

Remove grounds: After steeping, remove the filter basket and discard the grounds. You’ll be left with ~500ml of cold brew inside the NitroPress.

Charge the NitroPress: Seal and charge. Shake gently for 5–10 seconds to activate the nitro infusion.

Serve: Dispense into a 500ml glass and enjoy the smooth, creamy finish. Serve as-is or over ice.
