Description

This rich, flavorful Toasted Oat Old Fashioned combines the smooth warmth of whiskey and Drambuie with the indulgence of a creamy, cascading nitro foam. The toasted oats and a touch of syrup help stabilize the foam, creating a café-level finish without the need for cream or milk. The result is a beautifully balanced drink, with a rich, golden-brown hue and a velvety texture that elevates the classic Old Fashioned experience.

Ingredients

35ml Whiskey
15ml Drambuie
5ml Simple Syrup
5 Dashes Chocolate Bitters
Shortbread Biscuit (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Dry toast

150g rolled oats under a grill or on the stove top until fragrant and lightly browned. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.

2. Stir

In a large glass, stir all ingredients over ice.

3. Strain the cocktail

Mixture into a NitroPress, adding the reserved toasted oats.

4. Charge and dispense

Into a rocks glass with a large cube of ice.

5. Garnish

Garnish with a shortbread biscuit.
